Welcome to the Escort Spotlight series where the real adult entertainer experts (YOU!) give their best marketing insights. This week, David shares his tips on networking, safety, and more.
Q: How long have you been an escort? Do you work independently or with an agency?
A: I have been an escort for 3 years — I got my first job a few days after my 18th birthday. I recently went independent, but I worked with an agency before that.
Q: In what ways do you promote your services? Which of those has been the most successful for you?
A: I use reputable websites to advertise myself. I also offer free advice on some forums and community sites which is a good way to get your name out there — Networking!
“Money makes money,” so I suppose my most effective exposure comes from paid websites such as eros.com.
Q: What are you looking for in an ideal client? How do you target him or her in your marketing?
A: A repeat client is an ideal for me. Other than that, I’d say a client that’s clean, good company, doesn’t get upset over the screening process, respects my time, boundaries, and doesn’t negotiate once I have informed them of the total donation for my time and services.
Most of my clients are clients that I established a rapport with when I was at the agency.
Q: Speaking of clients, have a funny client story you can share?
A: I don’t know if it’s funny or not but it’s one of my highlights. About a year ago go I went to meet a client in Manchester. When I got there, the client turned out to be my careers adviser and head of funding for the enterprise course I was enrolled in. She looked very uncomfortable and embarrassed but I managed to bring her around and had a very good evening together.
Q: What’s your favorite feature of your Escort Design website?
A: I really like the whole site, but the pre-set contact form is my favourite feature, because when clients don’t use pseudonyms it really helps speed up the screening process.
Q: What new features would you like to see in the future?
A: An advert page where strictly Escort Design escorts can advertise their services. (Note: Check out our new Regional Forums for this feature).
Q: If you could give one tip to other escorts, what would it be?
A: SAFETY! Both physical and health wise, never run out of protection and always screen your clients before appointments. Always have your own protection in a box so that the client can see you opening it and if the client prefers to use theirs, unless you have seen it being taken out of the box, say NO to it.
