If you have an escort website, you’ve probably heard the term “SEO” a lot. But what is it and what can it do for you?
SEO stands for “search engine optimization.” Basically, it means what you can do to get to the top of Google search results. A big part of having an escort website is making sure it’s simple to find by creating it with SEO in mind. After all, after checking email, search is the second most popular online activity. Ready to attract more clients and make your escort website site easier to find? Let’s go!
Figure Out Your Key Phrases
Think about what makes you unique – this could be your location, ethnicity, hair color, body type, etc. – and how clients find you (for example, after searching for a trans escort in Paris). These keywords and phrases should become the backbone of your escort website. If you aren’t sure which ones to use, try Google’s free keyword tool to find out how popular certain phrases are. For example, every month in the U.S., people search almost 600 times for “female escort nyc,” but only about 70 times for “female escort new york city.” Who knew?
Use the Key Phrases Across Your Website
Your domain name, page titles, and tagline are good places to include key phrases in a natural way. In our escort website Content Management System – the back end where you update your info – there’s a place for “meta keywords,” another important place to put your key phrases. From the CMS homepage, click Pages, scroll to the bottom, and click Meta Information:
Don’t go too crazy, though – packing a web page with certain phrases is known as “keyword stuffing,” and Google sees right through it. (About 10% or 15% is a good goal.) Sprinkle your key phrases elsewhere too – like in your Twitter handle.
Get Links Pointing to Your Site
Getting other sites to link to your escort website (aka “off-page SEO”) is super-important – it proves to Google that your site is real and not isolated. Thankfully, adding links is built into Escort Design, including getting added to escort directories. Here’s more info about finding people to trade links with and how not all links are created equal.
Keep Your Website Fresh
Google doesn’t like old, stale websites, so make sure you’re adding new pictures, user reviews, and other content on a regular basis.
As we’ve written before, SEO is a marathon, not a sprint – meaning it could take two weeks for your escort website to show up on Google. Be patient and keep checking the Google traffic analysis built in to Escort Design – it will show you where your escort website’s traffic is coming from and what key phrases people find your site with! And be careful if you’re thinking of hiring someone to boost your Google rankings. Good luck and as always, contact us with any questions!
